The Staff

Aelon has a few core staff who regularly rant on the front page. You can email us on the contact page.

Chris (Cyrris) is a uni student in Sydney. His days are split between his homework, gaming, foruming, and the odd bit of web design. He loves a good browser game, and has assisted in the moderation and continued development of one in his time. His quest to find some sort of physical activity which is fun and inexpensive is still ongoing, and as such, he doesn’t get much sun. He is the man to contact regarding this site, as he’s the one who generally makes sure everything is running OK behind the scenes.

Ryan (Holliday) is a student at a local college. He lives in upstate New York and is majoring in finding a major (that’s a fancy way of saying undeclared). Online his time is spent in a variety of activities that rise and fall in importance rather sporadically. Everything from 3d modeling, coding and game modifications to web design and digital art. Offline he snowboards in the winter and plays paintball in the remaining months. Games, film, music, books and drawing are also weekly staples of life. Interested in most everything but a fanatic about very little is the sum of the parts.

Marcus (Kelmon) is a Brit who works for a living, mucking around on his PowerBook all day. Despite a youth spent largely in front of a computer screen (since his father made the mistake of thinking that a Commodore 64 would be an “educational device”), he likes to pretend he’s largely a non-participant in the gaming world these days. That said, he still rattles on about the good ol’ days when a pixel was a real pixel and will have none of this next-gen crap. During the hours when he’s not tied to a desk in Belgium (nice beer, great chips, rubbish curries) he’s finishing off his Masters Degree and wishing that the world would finally wake up to the fact that Windows is crap. He really could be Steve Job’s bitch. All his social skills were impounded by Customs on entry to Belgium, where he’s smuggled his wife and is now under constant threat of the pitter-patter of tiny feet (cat or baby, she doesn’t mind which).

Ryan (Plagiarize) is equal parts horror fan and gamer. You’ll see him covering gamings horrific side (as well as sneaking in the odd film review) over on Dread Central, where he’s the gaming editor. While attending university in Manchester, he fell in love with a young girl living in America (his internet skills are to be feared), which is where he’s now living. Working a full week and writing for a major horror website just isn’t enough, and really, considering he does back flips for games like Super Monkey Ball, it’s understandable that he needs another outlet.

Andrew (Vermouth) is a student at Ohio State University studying journalism. He also spends far too much time reading and writing about all things gaming or tech, and really enjoys role-playing games and action games. Outside of technology and gaming his biggest hobbies are cooking, reading and watching sports with his friends - especially baseball and American football.
