I say 'addicted' because the game's campaign only lasted me like 20 hours. But it was 20 hours of uninterrupted gaming - no sleep, no food, nothing but gaming. Haven't played it much since. And then pretty soon you're in a raiding guild and clearing something every night and by working toghether with the guild every night in and night out you're making progress, and you like hanging out with your guild and then one day you're raiding 6 nights a week and farming when you're not raiding to get ready for the raid and PVPIng in your down time just for the hell of it because it's a way to hang out with your friends. I would have felt that way too when I was just getting started. To be honest, I've lost the odd weekend to it but then we didn't used to do that much anyway. Beyond that I'll play it some evenings a week but its not compulsive so I can go the entire week without touching it. However, I did buy Call of Duty 2 and Quake 4 at Christmas and neither have been played since I started playing WoW so that has to say something. Presently I'm having a lot of fun playing the game in a very nice guild but I can't see how you'd become addicted to it or anything else for that matter. Fortunately I had a girlfriend I'd rather see than play WoW, so it wasn't too bad. Still, I won't look at the days played timer. Whatever the number is, it's too much.
